NPW- Week 11 Plum Shimmer

Hello! When picking what polish I wanted to wear this week, I literally took out all the polishes I have worn through this blog. I just wanted to see what colors I've used a lot, and which ones I hadn't. So, here are all the colors I have used so far on this blog. :)

I looked at my polishes, and noticed that I didn't have very many purples or blues. So I went searching for those in my nail polish collection. Well... somehow I ended up with Plum Shimmer. This isn't blue or purple. But, it was very different that what I have been wearing for a while. And it caught my eye, and I thought it would be fun. This one is from Love My Nails, and it was only $1. As are most my polishes.

Its just this great pink metallic shimmer color. And I thought it was really different and fun. But it turned out to be pretty subtle. But that's cool. I'll just go with it. I don't think that this picture does it justice. I feel like it makes it look more metallic than it really is.

This last picture looks more real. Its still off a lil bit, but its close enough. This stuff is really thick, and I just put on 1 coat. First I put a clear, then the shimmer, and another clear. I feel the clear is important with this polish. And that is because it is really thick, and with glitter, it sticks really easily to your nails. So I am hoping that I was smart with the clear, so it won't be hard to get off my nails. Also I put the clear over it at first, because I only used one coat of the color.

I hope you like my pretty polish as much as I do. Peaces :) Stay PTC!

NPW Week 10- Tomboy No More

So, for this week, my polish is actually an expensive brand that I got on clearance. I've heard so so much about essie polishes. It is ridiculous. So of course when I saw it on sale for $2 at Ulta, normally $8, I just knew I had to buy it, and see what the big deal about this polish is.
This polish is in the color Tomboy No More. Cute. And I really liked the dark red. I though it was fun and different.

When I saw the color in the bottle I was a little worried, because it looked really runny. But it actually wasn't too bad. It kinda reminded me more of a stain then a polish. (Hopefully I didn't ruin my nails, b/c I didn't put a base coat on first) The polish went on really easy and the applicator was fine. I was disappointed that it chipped soo fast. It chipped the next day, and I had two coats on. So that was not good. But, after it chipped on the tips, it didn't chip any more. So these pictures are how the polish looked all week without applying a top coat.

But as you can see, its not as deep red as the bottle suggest. Although my camera made it a lot lighter then in person, its still not as deep as i thought. But the color is still really pretty.Just not what I was expecting.

This picture makes it a little more real, but still off a little. All in all, I liked the polish, but, (and this is a pretty big but) I don't feel it is worth so much $$$. I mean, my $1-$2 polishes worked just as well as this one. This one probably has more choices, but the quality isn't much different from the others. So I probably wouldn't buy another unless it was clearanced this cheap.

August Birchbox

Hello! This is coming a little late, and I should be getting my September Birchbox pretty soon. But I thought, hmm, why not. I should go ahead and share what I got this last month. So here it is. August's Birchbox. YAY!  This month's theme was the "Next Big Thing"

Starting from the right top, the first thing I got is Number 4 Lumiere d'hiver Reconstucting Masque. When I first saw this, I thought it was a face mask, but its actually for your hair. I've used this like 5 times and still have half the bottle left. A little goes a long way. I've been using this instead of my conditioner, and I really like it. I feel that it makes my hair really soft. Next to that is the Caudalie Premier Cru The Eye Cream. This is an eye cream that is supposed to help protect against all eye problems. Lines, dark circles, puffiness, loss of firmness, and other problems as well. I've only used this twice. And I'm not too sure how I feel about this product. It blends in nice and doesn't crease, but I haven't seen much change.
One of my favorite products from this month's box is the  Zoya Touch in Shay Nail Polish.I really loved this color. It has been a color I've been looking for and I really liked it. I actually did a nail of the week on it that you can read HERE. :)
So the next product is pretty neat. It is the FIX Malibu Wish Wash Exfoliating Powder Wash. This was invented so you can bring your face wash on your carry on, and not worry about it being liquid. This is a face wash, that is a powder and you add water and it turns foamy. I actually just used this today for the first time. And it is kinda messy, but it did work. I just used a little bit in my hand and added some water and it turned into a nice lather(not super foamy). It did get off a lot of makeup, and didn't dry my skin out. I'm excited to try this out again.
Then that little black thing, which I thought was a piece off something else is actually a Twistband Hair Tie. This is supposed to not create creases and hold your hair easily and when not wearing it look good on your wrist and not cut off circulation. Whew, that was a lot. Anyways, it did hold my thick hair with no problem, but I haven't used it enough to look for creases in my hair. As for looking good on the wrist, I kinda disagree. Its got a strange piece that kinda sticks up, and I don't think that part looks "chic" but it doesn't cut off circulation like all my other hair bands.
Now the very last product is actually under the Hair tie. This is Number 4 L'eau de Mer Hydrating Shampoo. The packaging looks big, but its actually just a small sample shampoo package. What I do like about it, is that it is concentrated, and when add water it turns into more, well a just a little. I got two uses out of this, and it was alright. Nothing super special.
So that was my August Birchbox. Hope you enjoyed. If you have birchbox, what did you get in yours? Peaces! Stay PTC :)
