Tips&Tricks- Great Beauty Buys

A great beauty tip that I love is going to the travel section. This is a great place to go find products that you may have never used, or wanted to try. You can find, hair spray, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, and all kinds of goodies, for super cheap! Most are around $1-2, and you get a decent size.

Here are a few products that I got from the travel section of Walmart & Target. I finally bought me some vaseline. I never had any, and I heard of so many good uses that I went out and bought one, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a product I've never used before, and I felt like I scored when I found this baby at the travel section. I also have this hair spray from Treseme. The travel section is a great place to try out different hair sprays to see which product you like, without spending a lot. The last two items I keep in my shower. I love Garnier Fructis, so I was happy when I found a new product I could try without buying the full thing. The last one is Clean &Clear Morning Burst. We all seen the comericial, and I saw this, and thought, why not try it, its only a buck!
So yeah, travel section, go check it out. Not just for traveling any more, its for trying. Peace&Stay TPC :)

My Fav. Products/Most Used

These are the products that I love. They are my most fave. and my most used. So here they are! :)

I love these products. They are just so simple, but work well, and gives you a natural look. The eyeshadow is Mauveberry by CoverGirl. This eyeshadow is $3.14.  As you can see, I've hit pan. This is actually the third I've bought of this product, and now I need to buy a new one. It is a matte color and is super simple, kinda of a pinkish nude color. Its hard to explain, but it's awesome, and I get lots of complements when I wear it, and that's always good. ;). The blush is also from CoverGirl. It is their Classic Pink. I love how girlie and super pink it is. I love CoverGirls blushes. They have great color and go on smoothly and never break me out and they are $3.74.
The last thing in this picture is my All Time Favorite item and very TPC (Thrifty Pretty Chic). Only $1.00!! But I love Carmex . I wear it all the time. Its not sticky, or thick, and makes my natural lips look so good. I prefer the flavorless ones, but if you would want flavor, they have those too.
These are my "utensils". They are the ones pretty much always use. The mascara is Maybelline's One by One Volum' Express. This is the most UHmaZing mascara. I am serious. I love this stuff!!! It makes my eyelashes long, but thick. I hate when they are long, but super thin, that drives me crazy. But this, this makes they thick and long!! Genius! I super recommend this stuff. It does cost $6.48, and I don't know why they make mascara's so much, but this one is so good, I spend the money on it. But sadly enough, the waterproof one totally sucks. boo to that. But it doesn't make them very long or very thick. So I am in search for a good price waterproof mascara.
My next two items are E.L.F. brushes. I love E.L.F. items. They are really great price, and most things are of super great quality. These brushes, $1.00 each, are really great. They are super soft and put your makeup on really well. The first one is the professional eye shadow brush. This thing puts on eyeshadow so great. I never knew how much better a brush is for eyeshadow then those small things you get with eye shadows. It places the makeup where you want it and with much more color. The other one is the professional total face brush. This brush is super soft and evenly place my powder. I love it. The only problem with this brush, is it tends to shed a bit on your face. Not a whole lot, just a hair here or there. But I think it is worth it to pick off a few hairs.
The last brush is one that I don't know the name of. It was from one of those sets that you get from Walmart around Christmas time. And the handle fell off. It was black and purple. But I use this for my blush brush. It is super stiff and puts a lot of color at one time. Which I like. The last thing is my all time fave eyeliner. It is essence kajal pencil in the color, behind the scenes. I love this color. It is grey, which is my fave. It glides on real smooth and is really dark. I do wish it wasn't a shaving one, but I haven't been able to find an automatic eye liner. But this one works  really well. And only $1.00!!

These are my face products. The first is the essence cover stick. I love this thing. It covers really well and blends into your skin really nicely. This was only $2.00 and it is in the color True Nude. The other product is the E.L.F. Eyelid Primer. This was only $1.00. And it blends in super nice and keeps your eyeshadow on longer and makes it more brighter. I couldn't believe how much better my eyeshadow is with this thing. After watching lots of makeup tutorials and seeing everyone use a eyeshadow primer, I was like, I have to try this! And then magically I found one for $1.00 and I LOVE it. You should try. The last item is the Essence mineral compact powder in the color soft beige. (2.50) This powder blends in really well with your skin and takes away any shine you might have. As I get darker in the summer, this color is getting too light, and they don't have too many choices, so I will probably have to find another option for powder, but for now it works really well.
And on to my last fave product. This is the TRESemme 24hour body finishing spray. This was around $4.00. I really like this product. It keeps all those annoying stray hairs down and makes your hair nice and shiny. It says " This formula with VolumeControl Complex is strong enough to resist humidity yet hair is left shine and manageable." I spray this stuff on my hair after I fix it and kind of fluff the product all in there. The smell is like normal hair spray, which would be better if it smelt good, but its not that big of a deal. But it is a really good product.
Whew! Sorry this was sooo long. But these ARE the products I love, so I just couldn't help talking forever about them. I hope you find this helpful and find some new fave products of your own.
Stay Thrifty Pretty Chic!

NPW-Week3-Mint Sorbet

I am so excited about this color! I have been looking for this color for a while now. I kept seeing it on vlogs with people saying how much they love it. And I just thought it was really neat and different. And I finally found it!!!

I just love this color! It is called Mint Sorbet and it is Sally Hanson Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear. It was $ 2.50, which is more than I normally spend on polish, but I've seen a whole lot worse price. Plus I've been looking forever, and when I saw this I just had to have it! I found this one at Krogers.

Sorry my polishing isn't the best, but I still like it. I just think its so much fun and very summery! So its a win/win. :) Hope you enjoy this color as much as I do. Let me know what you think, or if you would wear this color... PEACE :) Stay TPC!

NPW- Tickle me pink

Here is my nail polish for this week.

It is in the color tickle me pink. It is so cute. It goes on really smoothly and this was 2 coats. I like how it is a barbie bright light pink and super summery. I just think that it is so much fun.
It is from Wet n Wild Wild Shine. And it was only $1.50. Super cute. I really like their line, they have lots of colors to choose from. Peace, stay Thrify, Pretty, Chic!

Outfit of the day

Here is my outfit of the day. I love super simple dresses for summer. This one I got at JCPennys for around $10. Super easy. It is a plain white top with a floral bottom. With the sinched in waiste. The shoes are silver and they are from Wet Seal and they were on sale for $7. These are so easy to slip on, and a little bit nicer to wear than flip-flops. These are pretty much my everyday go to shoes for summer. I am also wearing bracelts from the Target Clearance isle. Some of my faves!  Hope you enjoy!

Mall Haul

Hi everyone! Well it is summer, and we all know what that means... sales! Yay! So I decided to go ahead and get some shopping done. This awesome bag (which is a lil big for a purse, so maybe an overnight bag) was found at New York and Company for $15!!! (Originally $42.95)  I fell in love with it, and just had to get it. I love the details of the braided side handles, and the fake leather look.
I also went to Victoria's Secret and they were having their semi-annual sale. I was hopping to get some eye shadows like I did last time I went, but sadly they were already out, but I did manage to get a couple cute lip stuff.  Here is a swatch of each color. The first one is the lipstick. It is in the color Grape Fruity. Which when hear that color, I think purple. But obviously it is not purple but pink. But i think it's called this because of its flavor/smell which is very fruity. It goes on nicely, a light pinkish coral, and it tastes yummy. The other one is a gloss called Hot Cocoanut. And I haven't tried it on, but as you can see in the swatch it is very sparkly and gold. This one smells like chocolate. Which isn't my fave, but it's OK. These were both $1.75

The last store I went to was Bath&BodyWorks which was also having their big sale. Everything I got was either 50% off or 75% off. The first thing I have is their lotion. This is one of their new ones and it is in pomegranate citrus. You can always go in there and get their new lotions for $1. So I recommend stopping in there and trying a new lotion. They are great for your purse or just sitting around your house. This one smells really good. The next thing I got was their Summer Vanillas Shower Gel. And I got this in Berry. It smells more berry than vanilla, but that's OK. This was only $2.65! The last thing I got was another lip gloss (I know, crazy of me, but they were all so cheap!) I really like this color. It is a very neutral light pink without any sparkles and tastes like peach, yum. It is the Liplicious Tasty Lip Color in Peach Tart and it was just $2.00!
That's pretty much what I got from this mall shopping trip. I'm a lil sad I didn't get any clothes, but I got some great beauty for great prices and an awesome bag. So I think that this was a very Thrifty, Pretty, Chic trip.

Ulta Haul

I love going to Ulta, because... they have this really great cheap line, Essence, AND they have a really great rewards plan. The rewards plan is really great, and doesn't cost anything. Which I wouldn't be apart of if it did, but nevertheless, it is free. And us TPC (thrify pretty chic)  girls love anything that has to do with free & makeup. So basically, you spend money, you get free items. If you spend $50 over time, you will get a coupon for something free. yay free! I've used this a few times, and I've gotten nail polish, eyeliner, and I think eye shadow. What you get changes, but they are all really great products, and mostly ULTA products, and did I mention you get them for FREE!!! So yeah, look into that if you have a Ulta near you. Anyways...

I did purchase a few items from my fave ULTA brand-Essence. Oh, also you get coupons in the mail and online for like 20% off, or $3.50 off $10 or even $5 off $10. So for this shopping trip I used a $3.50 off $10. First thing I got was this coverstick. I love this thing, it covers so well, but the one I have is almost out :( so I went and got this one. It is in a darker shade than I have, since I'm getting darker as the summer goes on, so hopefully it will work as well as the one I have. This is in the color Matt Honey. And this is normally around $2, but wait for it, I got it for... ... ... $0.01!!!! OMG I do NOT know how that happened! But I do wish I would have gotten more, in all colors. So WOW that was just crazy. I didn't get as lucky with they other items, but I still got a good price on them. Plus they still let me use my coupon, even after not spending $10. So it was a good day. Back to the products->
I got a Smokey Eyes Brush.Only $1.99. Which, brushes are new to their line, so this will be the first I will try of them. I also got a longlasting eye pencil in hot chocolate. I love their eye liners. They go on smoothly and are great colors ( my fave is the grey one). I wanted black, but they were out, so I thought I would try the brown. Wish me luck. Oh also, I will put a pic at the bottom, but when I was rubbing off the makeup on my hand, the eye liner did not want to budge, so I took a pic, so I knew I wasn't going crazy, and so I could show you how good they are.
The other item I got was this very pinky eyeshadow in the color It's Up To You. Only $1.99. This has great color, although you can't really tell in the picture. And I've been looking for a good pink. So I hope it looks good on my eyes, and if not maybe I can use it as a blush..
Well, it was fun. See you laters. :)

Nails of the week: Week 1

My first Nail Polish of the Week (NPW) is called Movie Star. It is from a line called essence, which I only have found at Ulta. It is a small bottle, but it can be used a few times. These little dudes are only $1, or if your lucky and they go on sale, .50 cents (Score!). The formula goes on smoothly, but it isn't a quick dry like the bottle says, just your average nail drying dry.  I love this color. It is a grey matte color, which I love because its dark like black, but not as harsh.  Grey is the new black!

HI

Hello! Hi! Welcome!
I decided to start this blog because, well, I love all things beauty. Makeup, Fashion, & Accessories. I just love it all. And lately I have been obsessed with makeup vlogs from YOUTUBE. I just love it. But, I find that a lot of times the things they show, I will never ever be able to get. I can't afford or need brands like MAC, All For Eve, NARS, or other brands that are just outrageously priced. The makeup I can and will afford are the "cheap" stuff, the "drugstore makeup", and I'm OK with that. Actually I like that. I feel that that is what the "average person" will and want to pay for their makeup. And as for clothes, shoes, and accessories, why do those have to be so much? I love finding great sales and prices on the stuff I buy. SO I decided to start this blog to show that you can be thrifty, yet pretty & chic. And I am going to share my experiences (good and bad) with you. So if you would like to take this journey with me, keep reading and follow me! We can all be Thrifty, Pretty, & Chic!
